The Swoosh Facade was a anti-marketing project aiming to use their own branding and marketing to expose some of their inner problems

Research contrasted Nike's crafted image with its stark manufacturing truth, urging reconsideration of brand support.

Placed strategically, the ads would aim to spark discussions on ethical choices, advocating for transparency and fair labor practices. Ultimately, the project aimed to shift consumer behavior and encourage advocacy for workers' fair treatment.

During my research, I tried finding the focal points, of their campaigns, and ended up focusing on this era, where they had multiple public figures and athletes, standing up not just as athletes for their sports, but also as individuals for their convictions, what potrayed exacly what I was aiming to use against them.

On this first poster, I’ve started with a picture, which I’ve digitally upscaled, extended the width using AI, and then proceeded to crop it, in order to keep the subject centered, to better fit, and ressonate with the viewer, but keeping the surroundings to emphasize the message.

The second poster focuses not on the environment, but simply on the subject, creating empathy and a better conection to it as a person. For this I’ve also digitally bumped the pixel count since the original was extremely low-res, from there I’ve built always upon that original idea of using their pay-off against them.
