FEUP is the University of Engineering of Porto, it houses multiple courses, many of them with their own student association.
I was contacted by 2 of those student associations to work on clothing designs and branding to better represent and show what they are inside the university.
Having a distinct visual language, whilist being apealing to the core “audience”, which is university students in their early to mid 20’s was my main focus, and ofcourse, having a good visual representation of their courses.
The first ones to get in contact with me were the responsibles for the LMEIC (Informatics and Computing Engineering) and MESW (Software Engineering) courses.
I’ve created 2 logos and typogaphy work for both, based on their specific traits, being easily readable and understood by anyone at first sight, followed by adapting them further to be used in clothing design.
Afterwards, I’ve been contacted by the responsibles by the EMAT (Metallurgical and Materials Engineering) course.
Since they already had an established logo, I’ve just focused on typography work, giving it a slightly rough and industrial feel, with a modern y2k-ish touch.
